Calvin...the big boy!

This DARLING most adorable lil guy is Calvin, my big brother's first son.  Spencer and Merry waited for this perfect little guy...now he is 1!!!  I can't believe it.  

I have missed so much of his first year, but now I can see him on my blog!  Yeah.  He is a sweet little dude who cracks me up!  Enjoy, my sweet Buddy!

I had the pleasure of shooting this family last fall as well!  Such adorable kids.  Their mom is pretty stinking adorable too!  They all three take fabulous pictures and are very photogenic.

April and Ryan's wedding!!!

Well, an amazing day has come and gone.   April and Ryan got married 9/19/09.  It was in their home north of the cities.  It was amazing.  We truly had the best vendors doing all parts of the wedding.  La Vie did the photography.  Capture Studios did the video.  We had bartenders from Liquid Motion that threw bottles (like in the movie "Cocktail")  There was an amazing Ice Sculpture from Ice Carvings Inc.  The rentals from Apres were to die for.  The catering which was mouth watering and so professional and with a super nice staff to boot (nearly 25 of them!) was done by Darek from Russell's on the Lake.  The most amazing part of the whole day...was that the reception was in there metal shed...you never would have known it!  April knew what she wanted she just didn't know what she wanted...so she brought me on board to plan and design her wedding.  It was spectacular!  We over the past 300 days spent so much time together that a great bond was made.  We hand picked every item for her wedding.  Although it is all-consuming, it is the best job I could ever dream of!   I loved picking every detail, from forks to the right color of celedon green.  Then came all the fun and original touches...which I LOVE and totally recommend!  Well, I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed making it.  You can view a video by going to Matt Brue (amazing videographer)'s blog http://vimeo.com/6752347 it is worth the time.  It is just over 3 minutes and this is just the sample of the video!!!!  :o)  I am so excited to see the photos and the rest of the video!  I was sad to drive away from the reception, although my feet were saying a different story! ;o)  Samantha was my trusty right hand.  We are a spectacular team if I don't say so my self! :o)  We are excited to launch The Hip Chick Co.  I'll let you know when we do...I will also let you know when new photo/video is up on this AMAZING wedding!

Hannah Terie...10 months old

Hannah has been a client of mine since she was in the womb!  :o)  She was cute then, but she is even cuter now!  She has some AMAZING eyelashes that I just want to photograph again and again!  :o)

I can't believe you are going to be one in just a month!  You just grow too fast!

Baby Eva 4 months old!

Marty and Stacey have a new baby...Baby Eva.  Marty and Stacey got married at the beginning of my photography career.  In fact they were the first wedding I ever shot solo!  I was so super honored when they asked me to shoot their new baby!  OF COURSE!  She is super cute.  Thanks for continued business.

The Exciting News!

I have joined forces with Sammi and we have begun the starting of a new business. I will still be doing referral weddings and family photo shoots but I am going to be focusing on our new business! We will be doing event and wedding planning. We are very excited. We have our logo, working on our website and everything legal and in between. We are hoping to have it rolling by October. So stay tuned to see the website! :o)

Early Spring Pictures

Hi!  I am trying to get caught up a bit here!  Here are a few pictures from the past few months of the kids! :o)

GABE's gunna be 2!!

Can you believe it!  On Sunday my baby will be two years old!  We recently celebrated his birthday which consisted of dancing, cake, presents and good people.  Gabe who is known for his cleanliness was pretty upset when the cupcake showed up on his plate and there was no fork.  He wasn't about to pick it up and get dirty!  Too cute.  He also is very fond of golf after receiving a golf set for his birthday and had a breakdown after dad tried to take away his club (picture above).  The highlight for his birthday...Violet.  Gabe has a bit of a thing for her.  He hugged her and even shared his golf toys with her!  :o)

A Play Date and Bath Time

Today our super duper fun and awesome friends Noah and Sally came over to play with Hava and Gabe.  It was so fun to watch these lil people interact with one another.  They were all very interested in sharing and spreading the love!  Here are some pictures of the 3 of them on the piano bench!  Then Hava and Gabe's ever so popular bath time!  I love this time of day!  

My Nawlins Wedding!

Let me introduce to you Gerald and Toni.  This couple is so awesome!  I am so blessed to know them.  We had an ABSOLUTE blast in New Orleans as well as at their wedding.  This couple knows how to throw a party.  I have never been at any other wedding where this many people were dancing the entire time!  It was so great.  They had a Jazz Band lead them in for their Grand Entrance and all the wedding party and guests were followed in by the band.  It was a great experience.  New Orleans was great.  Gary and I both were invited down by the couple and they hosted us in a great hotel in the French Quarter.  We enjoyed much cuisine and a hurricane or two! ;o)  Thank you so much Toni and Gerald.  You are a great couple!

Visit with Friends

Here is my first post of Kimberly.  She is my best friend from college and her and I share many memories.  It was great to see her, even if the trip surrounded tragedy.  I love you girl.  Her other best friend Camille was in from Idaho too.  Her sister, Annika and Brad as well as her dad and I all went to dinner and we snapped a few pictures.  I really enjoyed being a part of your family this weekend!  I love you all dearly.

Alexis' Bridal Shoot at her fitting

This fun girl is Alexis.  She is getting married this spring, she invited me to her fitting to do her bridal session.  It was an absolute blast!  Her bridesmaids and mom are all laid back and super fun!  I am so looking forward to her wedding day!

Cabin Fever...and what happens!

Ok, so it is just butt cold here, there really is no other term, technical or otherwise to describe it.  The kids are "trapped" as Hava has said, and it takes lots to be creative with our time.  Today, the only thing we could do to keep Hava happy was to let her draw a kitty on her face.  From time to time, we draw whiskers and a nose on her face to make her a kitty, but being that her new favorite phrase (which totally breaks my heart!) is "I do it my self", I allowed her to draw the whiskers herself.  After seeing Hava's masterpiece Gabe asked me to make him a dog. Then I brought out the camera, and Hava wouldn't have any part of having her picture taken, but in perfect Hava and Gabe fashion the boy let me take his picture.  Never do they both want or not want the same thing! So please do enjoy, I sure did!

The Hagers...Sneak Peek

Mike and Nikki are two amazing people, amazingly nice (Nikki) and funny (Mike) but mainly I just love these two people!  I have know Mike for at least 15 years.  We have many fun memories together!  I was dually honored to be their wedding photographer because I got to be their photographer for starters and to see the wedding from all angles, and because I am their friend.  It was an amazingly beautiful wedding and the whole weekend was an absolute blast!  The hotel was so beautiful and restful (for the most part!) So thank you for hosting me and thank you for having me be your photogufus.  Much love and the best of wishes to you both!

My night with Celine!

Tonight I was blessed many times over.  First, that Gary brought me home tickets for the Celine Dion Concert, Second, that I could go.  Third, and most importantly that Martie could go with me. 

What an amazing show!  She can perform and it is a perfect spectacle.  Every note, her pitch, everything...perfect.  She not only was amazing as an artist, she talked like she was talking right to me.  It was so personal, she is so normal and relaxed, yet an amazing professional.  It was an exceptional night.  I do have to say that God was present for me there too.  I felt touched by the spirit, and her words spoke to me in ways I needed to hear.  I feel rejuvenated!  Too be honest, I felt like going would be a fun night out, but nothing amazing.  I was so blessed!  I had an amazing time!  Thanks Celine!
